What the Program Means

Roofing assistance built around need, feasibility, and respect.

Through Covering the Community, Aastro Roofing Company reviews nominations for individuals and families facing significant roofing needs, financial hardship, caregiving responsibilities, health-related challenges, disaster-related circumstances, or other extraordinary situations.

Every nomination is considered individually. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection, an inspection, materials, labor, financial assistance, or a particular scope of work.

Important

This is not a contest or emergency-response service.

There is no random drawing, entry fee, or prize entitlement. For an active leak or time-sensitive condition, call Aastro Roofing Company at 561-409-3280.

A Two-Part Community Story

Pam and Theresa: from nomination to a restored home

Part One documents the initial conversation and surprise. Part Two follows the roofing work, interior restoration, and Aastro’s return visit after completion.

Part One

Pam’s Story: the interview and the surprise

Jason Blair meets Pam and her daughter, Theresa. Pam opened her home to family members facing homelessness despite dealing with financial hardship herself. Aastro listens to her story, reviews the home’s needs, and tells Pam the company will help provide the roofing work she needs.

Part Two

Pam’s New Roof: installation, restoration and follow-up

The Aastro team completes the new roofing system and repairs damaged interior ceilings. Jason later returns to speak with Pam and Theresa and confirm how the home is performing after the work is complete.

How It Works

A nomination begins a review—not a promise.

1

Submit a nomination

Tell Aastro who needs help, what the roof is experiencing, and why the circumstances deserve review.

2

Initial review

The program team reviews the submitted information, service area, ownership status, and apparent roofing need.

3

Contact and inspection

When a nomination moves forward, Aastro may contact the nominator or homeowner and arrange an authorized inspection.

4

Scope and decision

Aastro determines whether assistance is safe, legal, feasible, and supportable with available labor, materials, scheduling, and resources.

Frequently Asked Questions

Covering the Community FAQs

Can I nominate myself?

Yes. Self-nominations and nominations submitted on behalf of another person may both be reviewed.

Does a nomination guarantee roofing services?

No. Every nomination is reviewed individually, and submission does not guarantee selection, an inspection, materials, labor, financial assistance, or a particular roofing scope.

Does the nominee need to own the home?

The legal property owner must authorize inspections and any work. A tenant or family member may submit a nomination, but owner authorization is still required.

Is Covering the Community an emergency roofing service?

No. For an active leak or urgent condition, call Aastro Roofing Company at 561-409-3280.

Will a selected family be required to appear in a video?

No. Photography, interviews, testimonials, and video participation require a separate voluntary media authorization.

How are nominations evaluated?

Factors may include roofing need, personal circumstances, ownership authorization, service area, inspection findings, safety, permitting feasibility, available resources, and the project’s ability to create a meaningful community impact.

Program Notice

Covering the Community is a discretionary community-assistance initiative operated by Aastro Roofing Company. It is not a sweepstakes, insurance program, entitlement, government benefit, or guarantee of roofing services. Aastro may verify submitted information, contact the nominator or nominee, inspect the property, confirm ownership or authorization, and determine whether a project is safe, legal, feasible, and appropriate for the program. Selection and the scope of any assistance remain subject to Aastro’s review, available resources, permitting, structural conditions, scheduling, and a separately approved written agreement.
