Growing Up in Southeast Michigan
Neveah Henderson was born and raised in Southeast Michigan, in the northern suburbs of Detroit.
Her background connects her to the same region where several members of the Aastro Roofing Company family and leadership team grew up, including Jason and Chelsea Blair, Nicole Oliver, and Darrin Oliver.
Neveah’s connection to the Blair family goes back to childhood through a long-standing friendship between her family and Chelsea Blair. Jason and Chelsea have known Neveah for most of her life and watched her grow from a child into a young adult preparing to begin a life and career of her own.
That family connection created an introduction to Aastro, but it does not replace the expectations of the position. Neveah remains responsible for learning the company’s procedures, performing her duties accurately, communicating professionally, and earning greater responsibility through consistent performance.
Starting a New Chapter in South Florida
After graduating from high school, Neveah began considering where she wanted to live and what kind of opportunity would allow her to become more independent.
She wanted to experience a different part of the country, begin supporting herself, and determine the direction she wanted her adult life to take. South Florida presented that opportunity.
When Neveah relocated to the area, Aastro Roofing Company was also looking for additional help with reception, appointment scheduling, office administration, and selected marketing-support responsibilities.
Because Jason and Chelsea already knew Neveah and understood her character, Jason reached out to ask whether she would be interested in joining the company. She accepted and became part of the Aastro team in 2026.
The position gave Neveah an opportunity to begin building professional experience while learning how a growing South Florida roofing company operates.
Supporting Aastro’s Front Office
Neveah’s position combines reception, scheduling, communication, and general administrative support.
Her responsibilities include answering incoming telephone calls, greeting customers and visitors, collecting complete customer and property information, scheduling roof inspections and appointments, confirming appointment dates and time windows, communicating scheduling changes, recording customer concerns accurately, routing calls and messages, supporting office calendars, assisting with customer records, and completing administrative follow-up as directed.
She may also assist with selected marketing and content-administration tasks when needed, but her primary responsibility remains supporting Aastro’s front-office and scheduling operation.
A roofing customer may call because of an active leak, storm damage, an aging roof, an insurance concern, a planned roof replacement, or a question about an existing project. The first person receiving that call does not need to diagnose the roofing condition. That person does need to gather accurate information and connect the customer with the employee best qualified to respond.
Neveah helps perform that function.

Helping Create a Professional First Impression
Reception is sometimes treated as a basic administrative task, but it plays an important role in the customer’s perception of a company.
When someone contacts a roofing contractor, the customer may already be frustrated, concerned, or uncertain. Water may be entering the property. An insurance deadline may be approaching. A roof inspection may be needed for a sale. The customer may not know whether the roof requires repair or replacement.
How that initial communication is handled matters.
Neveah helps create a professional first impression by answering courteously, listening carefully, and making sure the customer’s information is recorded and routed correctly.
A misspelled name, incorrect telephone number, incomplete property address, misunderstood concern, or appointment entered on the wrong date can create avoidable problems later in the process. Accurate scheduling and communication help the sales, service, inspection, project-management, and production departments arrive prepared.
Learning the Roofing Business
Neveah joined Aastro early in her professional career and is steadily learning the roofing industry.
Roofing has its own terminology, materials, systems, departments, scheduling requirements, and customer concerns. A new office employee must gradually understand the differences between a roof inspection and a service appointment, repair and replacement, residential and commercial work, tile, shingle, metal and low-slope roofing, and information the office can provide versus questions requiring a roofing professional.
Neveah has approached that learning process consistently. She is becoming more familiar with Aastro’s services, internal procedures, appointment pathways, customer-information requirements, and communication standards.
As her knowledge develops, she will become increasingly capable of identifying what information is needed and where each inquiry should be directed.
Working Under Project-Management Leadership
Neveah reports administratively to Nicole Oliver, Aastro Roofing Company’s Project Manager.
That reporting relationship places Neveah close to the company’s scheduling, permitting, project-administration, and customer-communication functions.
Nicole provides direction on office procedures, scheduling priorities, customer records, appointment coordination, and administrative follow-up.
This gives Neveah an opportunity to learn from a department that sees roofing projects progress from the early customer-contact stage through permitting, scheduling, production coordination, inspections, and completion.
Although Neveah’s current position is focused on reception and scheduling, that exposure can help her develop a broader understanding of how the company operates.

Developing Through Opportunity and Performance
Aastro Roofing Company has several employees whose relationships with the company began through family, community, sports, or long-standing personal connections.
Those relationships may create an opportunity, but they do not guarantee success. Every employee must still perform.
Neveah is early in her career, but she has shown that she is capable of learning, adapting, and taking responsibility for the work assigned to her.
Since joining Aastro, she has continued becoming more comfortable with customer communication, scheduling, office systems, and the pace of the company’s daily operation.
Her development will continue through experience, feedback, repetition, and increasing familiarity with the roofing industry.
Building a Career of Her Own
Neveah’s move from Michigan to South Florida represents an important personal step.
She left the area where she was raised, moved into a new environment, and accepted an opportunity to begin building an independent professional life.
At Aastro Roofing Company, she is learning what it means to support customers, maintain accurate information, communicate within a team, and perform responsibilities that other departments depend upon.
Her long-standing connection to the Blair family helped bring her to Aastro. Her continued growth within the company will depend on the capability, reliability, judgment, and work ethic she demonstrates in the years ahead.
Neveah Henderson is still at the beginning of her professional story, but she has made a strong start as part of Aastro Roofing Company’s front-office team.
