Professional BackgroundApproximately 15 years of technical-supervision and administrative-management experience with a Boca Raton eye-care practice before joining Aastro.
Chelsea Blair is the Finance-Office Manager at Aastro Roofing Company and one of the company’s senior operational leaders. She oversees financial administration, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, human resources, insurance documentation, and office operations. Before joining Aastro in 2020, Chelsea spent approximately 15 years as a technical supervisor with a Boca Raton eye-care practice. She works closely with President and Founder Jason Blair and serves as his primary day-to-day business partner in managing the company’s financial and administrative operations.

From Warren, Michigan, to the Roofing Industry

Chelsea Blair was born and raised in Warren, Michigan, where she and Jason Blair first knew each other as neighbors and friends. Before they began dating, Jason helped Chelsea obtain an administrative position with a Detroit-area roofing company where he was working at the time.

That position gave Chelsea her first professional exposure to the roofing industry and introduced her to the administrative work required behind field operations. She saw early that a roofing company depends on far more than installers and materials. Contracts, customer records, scheduling, payroll, purchasing, insurance, employee documentation, and communication all have to function properly before crews can consistently perform their work.

Chelsea and Jason began dating in the early 2000s. When Jason relocated to South Florida in 2004 to pursue roofing opportunities created by the major Florida hurricane seasons, Chelsea followed him to Florida in 2005. They later married, established their home in South Florida, and raised two children together.

Building a Career in Eye-Care Operations

After moving to Florida, Chelsea built a career with a Boca Raton eye-care practice, where she ultimately worked as a technical supervisor for approximately 15 years.

The position required organization, accuracy, patient communication, personnel coordination, confidentiality, technical procedures, and the ability to manage daily responsibilities in an environment where mistakes could have meaningful consequences.

Although eye care and roofing are very different industries, both depend on organized systems, responsible leadership, precise documentation, and people who can be trusted with sensitive information. Chelsea developed those capabilities over more than a decade before bringing them into Aastro Roofing Company.

Joining Aastro Roofing Company

In 2020, Chelsea left her full-time technical-supervisor position and joined Aastro Roofing Company as an administrative assistant. The move was initially influenced by family and provided greater flexibility while allowing her to support the company Jason had founded four years earlier.

What began as an administrative-support role quickly developed into something much larger. As Aastro continued to grow, the company’s financial and administrative demands became increasingly complex. More roofing projects meant more invoices, deposits, customer accounts, material purchases, vendor obligations, payroll records, insurance requirements, employee files, onboarding documentation, and financial decisions.

Through circumstance, ability, and trust, Chelsea gradually assumed responsibility for more of the company’s financial administration and office management. She learned Aastro’s systems, identified what needed greater control, and became one of the senior leaders responsible for holding the organization together.

Leading Aastro’s Financial Administration

Chelsea oversees the financial processes connecting Aastro’s customers, projects, vendors, employees, and management.

Her accounts-receivable responsibilities include monitoring customer invoices, deposits, progress payments, outstanding balances, financing transactions, and final account reconciliation. Roofing projects may involve multiple payment stages, supplemental work, wood-replacement charges, financing arrangements, insurance proceeds, change orders, and customer-specific billing requirements.

On the accounts-payable side, Chelsea coordinates vendor obligations and company expenses. Aastro works with roofing-material distributors, manufacturers, equipment providers, service companies, insurance providers, professional advisers, and other vendors required to operate a roofing company at scale.

Her work helps ensure that customer accounts remain accurate, payments are properly applied, vendor obligations are addressed, and the company’s financial records support responsible decision-making.

Payroll, Insurance, and Human Resources

Chelsea’s responsibilities extend beyond invoices and vendor payments. She coordinates significant portions of Aastro’s payroll administration, employee records, insurance information, onboarding documentation, and human-resources processes.

A roofing company’s workforce includes office personnel, sales representatives, service technicians, field supervisors, production leaders, drivers, warehouse staff, and roofing crews. Each role may involve different compensation structures, schedules, documentation, and administrative requirements.

Chelsea helps maintain personnel files, onboarding records, payroll-related information, employee policies, insurance documentation, and confidential employee matters. She also communicates with accountants, payroll providers, insurance representatives, financial institutions, vendors, and professional advisers on behalf of the company.

Managing the Office Behind the Roofing Operation

As Office Manager, Chelsea helps maintain the administrative environment supporting Aastro’s project management, sales, production, service, purchasing, warehouse, fleet, finance, and executive functions.

A customer payment may affect whether an account can be closed. A missing insurance certificate may affect a project or vendor. A payroll question may require field documentation. A vendor invoice may need to be connected to a particular job. A personnel matter may affect scheduling or production.

Chelsea helps connect those pieces. Her position gives her visibility into nearly every part of the company, and the financial and administrative information she manages affects nearly every project and department.

A Senior Leadership Partnership

Aastro Roofing Company is family-owned and operated, but operating a business as husband and wife requires clearly defined responsibilities.

Jason provides the company’s strategic direction, roofing leadership, operating standards, business development, and final executive accountability. Chelsea manages much of the financial and administrative discipline required to support that direction.

Chelsea serves as Jason’s closest day-to-day internal business partner and provides an important counterbalance in company decision-making. She is involved in daily financial matters, personnel concerns, office operations, insurance requirements, and the administrative realities that affect whether a business decision can be implemented responsibly.

Her official public title is Finance-Office Manager. Her standing within the company comes from the responsibilities she performs, the information she manages, and the trust placed in her.

Helping Build a Company That Can Last

Aastro Roofing Company was founded with a mission to build something more permanent than a short-term roofing operation. That requires strong crews, roofing knowledge, field supervision, customer communication, and project documentation. It also requires financial controls, responsible payroll administration, accurate customer accounts, organized employee records, dependable vendor relationships, and office systems that can support continued growth.

Chelsea is responsible for much of that foundation. Since joining Aastro Roofing Company in 2020, she has become an integral part of the company’s leadership and one of the people most responsible for maintaining its day-to-day financial and administrative stability.

At Aastro Roofing Company, Chelsea Blair helps ensure that the business behind the roofs remains organized, accountable, financially responsible, and prepared to support the customers, employees, vendors, and communities that depend on it.
