Concrete Tile Roof Planning

Build Your Concrete Tile Roof From the Deck Up.

Choose the waterproofing, metals, tile finish, profile, attachment, flashings and accessories you want to discuss with Aastro. Then send the complete plan with your project request.

The complete assembly

A tile roof is more than the tile you see.

This planner follows the decisions that should be discussed in a complete concrete-tile replacement scope.

1

Deck

Existing roof, substrate, wood replacement, renailing, SWR and structural questions.

2

Underlayment

Direct-to-deck self-adhered, anchor/base-sheet and other approved water-control assemblies.

3

Metals

Drip edge, valleys, wall flashing, penetrations and compatible corrosion-resistant materials.

4

Tile

Manufacturer, standard/premium/special order, slurry, color-through, blends and trim.

5

Profile

Flat, low, medium, high/S and decorative profiles with architectural and assembly implications.

6

Attachment

Direct support or battens; screw, nail, foam or approved combination.

7

Details

Hips, ridges, bird stops, vents, skylights, solar and low-slope transitions.

8

If you are not sure about a selection, choose Aastro Recommend. Final scope remains subject to inspection, current code, product approvals, manufacturer instructions and engineering where required.

1. Existing Roof and Deck

2. Underlayment and Secondary Water Resistance

Direct-to-deck vs. anchor sheet: neither term alone establishes the better roof. Substrate, adhesion, fastening, laps, penetrations, future tear-off, repairability and the complete approved assembly all matter.

3. Metals, Valleys and Flashings

4. Concrete Tile, Finish and Product Level

Color-through vs. slurry: different finish systems may weather and show chips differently. Final color should be chosen from current physical samples and written manufacturer information.

5. Tile Profile

Profile and uplift: profile can change geometry, accessories, cuts and attachment details, but uplift resistance is established by the tested and approved roof assembly, not by the profile name alone.

6. Support and Attachment

7. Hips, Ridges, Eaves and Accessories

8. Contact and Send

Your selections will be included with the lead.

This is a planning preference form, not an engineered or permitted roof design. Aastro will verify field conditions, current Florida requirements, product approvals and manufacturer instructions before the final written scope.
